Why this feels so confusing
You’re told to follow your baby’s cues… but also stick to routines
You’re encouraged to respond… but warned you’re creating “bad habits”
You’re doing everything you can—and still ending up more exhausted
👉 This isn’t your fault. The advice is conflicting.
I didn’t expect it to feel this hard
As a doctor, I thought I would understand sleep.
But when I became a mum, I found myself in that same cycle—
exhausted, overwhelmed, and questioning everything.
I was trying to do the “right” things.
Following the advice.
Doing everything I could to support my baby.
And yet… it didn’t seem to work.
The advice I was given didn’t fit my baby.
And it didn’t sit right with me either.
I felt torn between:
responding to my baby
and being told I was creating “bad habits”
Even with my medical background, I found myself second-guessing what I was doing.
Then things started to make sense
I went back to the science—looking at infant sleep through the lens of biology, development, and breastfeeding.
So much of the advice I’d been given:
didn’t reflect how babies actually sleep
conflicted with responsive care
and left parents feeling like they were the problem
When in reality—the approach was.
There was a different way
As I started supporting my baby in a way that aligned with their biology…
things became calmer. More predictable. More manageable.
Not perfect.
But finally—it made sense.
This is why I do this work
Now, I help parents understand their baby’s sleep—
so they can stop second-guessing and start feeling more confident.
Because you shouldn’t have to choose between:
more sleep
and responding to your baby
You can have both—with the right support.
When I became a mum, I was overwhelmed by conflicting advice and the pressure to choose between sleep and responsiveness. It didn’t sit right.
I returned to infant biology and my medical training, dove deep into neuroprotective developmental care and breastfeeding medicine, and found a calmer, kinder way. Now my work is helping parents like you get more rest with responsive, evidence‑based support that protects your bond.
This is why things haven’t been working
Most sleep advice:
ignores how infant sleep actually works
asks you to override your instincts
and leaves you feeling like you’re the problem
👉 This isn’t your fault.
